Welcome to Uncertain Destinies, and to Stillwater, Minnesota.

When the third book in the series, Path of Vengeance, was completed in September 1996, the fourth book, Transitions, was already in what we’ll call pre-production.

Since the beginning, Uncertain Destinies has been a series with the plot pushing things forward building momentum and taking the characters on a journey the readers anxiously have followed, but all that changes with the series fourth book.

With Transitions, the story goes from plot-driven to characher-driven, and that’s why anyone who has read the fourth book will tell you they actually feel strong emotions for the very first time. There’s still a great plot to sink your teeth into, but with the longer book, more time was given to delve into the feelings and emotions of the characters, which was especially important coming out of the cliffhanger that changed the series in Path of Vengeance

“The story goes from plot-driven to character-driven, and that’s why anyone who has read the fourth book will tell you they actually feel strong emotions for the very first time.”

Transitions will slowly resolve the cliffhangers from Path of Vengeance, leaving you with the need for a box of tissues perhaps, and then, well, transition into the emotional responses of those who are still with us. We’ll meet a few new faces who will shake things up, a dark and sinister figure with ties somehow to Stillwater, and set the stage for the future with the exit of one of the series main characters. The book is a rollercoaster of emotions from its traumatic start all the way through to its chilling conclusion. You’ll be anxious to get started on book five, Eyes in the Dark, which won’t be too far behind in a rerelease. Stay tuned…
